Community Service
When you watch the news or just see people sitting outside of businesses that are homeless you can't but feel sorry for them. In the world today as many as 3.5 million people experience homelessness in a given year (1% of the entire U.S. population or 10% of its poor), and about 842,000 people in any given week. How can people become homeless? Here are several different examples: personal problems, lack of education, domestic violence, alcoholism, drug addiction, mental illness, poor work habits, and lack of social skills. Homeless people are made up of more women than men. Women have experienced childhood sexual abuse and/or foster care and adult partner abuse. More than 50% of all homeless women and children become homeless as a direct result of fleeing domestic violence. The good thing is if you ever become homeless there are a few programs that will help you until you get back on your feet. One of the programs would be shelters. Shelters are a place where you can live while you don't have a house. A program that will help homeless people is food pantries. Some ways that I could help out with homelessness would be to help out in the pantries or give my clothes and other belongs to shelters and Salvation Army stores. A very help program for homeless people is Housing Solutions for Homeless Services Providers.

Time Management
When you manage your time poorly it makes you feel behind or lazy. Your work becomes backed up and you make more work for yourself later. Some consequences you suffer when you don't manage your time is getting behind and you make yourself feel like you never have any free time.
When I managed my time well it made me feel like I accomplished something. It makes me feel like I can do anything that's thrown my way. In order to feel this way you have to set up some steps. When you first get your class schedule take the time to see when you have time to do your homework, sports practice, and spend time with your family/friends. Once you have a flow of things early it will make it easier to manage your time later on.
My time management from high school to college has stayed the same. I always make sure that I made time for everything from my sports, homework, friends/family and free time.
When you get to college and it seems like you are falling behind try to prioritize and manage your time. Time Management is an important step that you need to learn in order to be successful in college. You may become over stressed with your classes and Stress Management will help calm you down.

Butler Resources
Brook needs help in many different ways. Here at Butler there are helpful programs to help him out in his failing classes situation. The first resource at Butler that would help Brook would be the Academic Achievement Programs and Services. It has many helpful tips like peer tutoring services. A second resource would be Tips for Success. This website gives information about self-motivation and discipline to be an independent learner. Third resource would be Campus Crusade for Christ. This would help him to turn to Christ and have better morals and friends. The Fourth tip for Brook would be his professors email so he could ask them for help outside of class. Butler Pipeline would be helpful information. A great tip that would help with Brook’s drinking habits is Addiction Counseling.
